It occurs to me how many of us have to re-parent ourselves as we get older and teach ourselves how to live life better. I’m going through this right now with cleaning (hello to your channel!), food, and relationships. And money too lol. It never ends! I love that people like you help out the rest of us when you’ve figured out part of the journey.
I used to struggle financially till i adopted the frugal living lifestyle, and also i do have certain amount that i keep every month for saving. Only the rest will i budget for the rest of the month…
That has to be the best financal advice i have ever heard …given with such kindness and understanding. It is not frugal , its living by your means which is common sense that we have lost . Old fashioned ways which means you dont have the stress of debt like today….and you build your future by your own hands …not demand it like a toddler having a tantrum. I'm sending your vid to my daughter who could benifit…. if she listens !!!! Heres hoping !

The Dave Ramsey YouTube channel helped me a lot. I’m almost done paying off my credit cards and I’m putting money away for an emergency fund.
Another way you can sometimes save, volunteer! Our favorite music festival allows volunteers in for free. I thought I would dislike taking time away from the festival but becoming part of it my experience felt even more rich as we saved money.
Can save a ton of money and sanity not giving phones to kids. If your kids are old enough for a phone then they’re old enough to pay for it either with a job (helping neighbors) or with extra chores to be used as credits. Teaches kids responsibility and the value of $$$
Definitely agree with washing clothes less often. Don’t understand why some are so obsessed with cleanliness. Exposure to germs is actually good for priming your immune system. Why overly relying on antibacterial products is a bad idea.

For the record shoving and pushing is how pits work. I’ve never waited to go in a pit and I don’t think anyone has for the shows I go to. I can’t imagine paying for pit tickets and waiting. That’s a big band thing only.

I am a germophobe. I also like my clothes to get clean. My sister thinks more like you do, but they bring laundry with stains to me. Because they can't get them out in lukewarm water.
But I do hang my clothes out all year round. When I was still living in New Jersey, even in the cold and snowy weather. Bright sun reflecting on the white snow got my whites so stinking bright!
